Here are a few pictures of our work over the past few months.  Trevathans Tile can assist you with designing the flooring scheme of your new home.  Call us after your new house is framed, and we'll be glad to meet with you on-site.   We'll supply the flooring and all the materials necessary for installation.  All we need is electricity at the job site.

Trevathans Tile can also help you remodel your kitchen or bathroom with new flooring, backsplashes, tile showers, and countertops.   We'll give you on-site pricing and a start date and finish date.  All you have to do is pick out which tile you want. 

FIREPLACE DESIGNS;

Add class to any fireplace with choices of tiles with design and color.  We can also install stone to your fireplace on a smaller scale. 

FLOORING; 

We've got tile to choose from that ranges from 12"x12" up to 20"x20".  If we don't have what you want in stock, we can get it in a few days.  You'll also have your choice of grout colors.  We can also install tile in a pattern design for an extra charge.  We use the best materials and methods for installation.  We want your tile job to last for many years to come.  

We've got wood samples for you to choose from in a number of styles, colors, and prices.  All of our samples are real wood and carry manufacturer warranties that vary depending on the selection.  While we do install laminate wood floors, these are typically the least expensive kind floors for a reason.  Laminate wood is actually medium density fiberboard with a very thin layer of laminate on the top.  It installs by "locking" the pieces together, and does NOT adhere to the subfloor.  This type of floor is not repairable, and if problems arise, a large section of the floor will have to be removed to replace the problem area.  For these reasons, we don't recommend laminate flooring for heavier traffic or high visibility areas.  However,  laminate might be the least expensive answer to replace your worn or outdated flooring.

SHOWERS;

Trevathans Tile can design and install any size shower to fit your needs.  We can install handicap-accessible showers that feature safety bars, detachable shower heads, and a curbless design to accomodate a wheelchair.  Trevathans Tile currently employs the Kerdi system for shower installation.  The Kerdi system is the ultimate waterproof system.  Kerdi employs a special drain and membrane that stops any water that gets past the tile and directs it straight to the drain.  This system prevents the growth of mold and mildew that occurs with conventional showers.   

     The most common problem with showers is that they retain moisture and eventually leak.  This problem is usually due to improper installation.  A rule of thumb for tile showers:  you get what you pay for.  Don't let a tile installer tell you that they can install tile directly to the drywall.  This is a common mistake that ALWAYS requires a complete tearout and rebuild.  Tearing out and rebuilding a shower is much more expensive than doing it right the first time.  

     Trevathans Tile can also tile around a tub that has a shower head.  In as little as a day and a half, tile can be installed from the tub to the ceiling.  Another half day can include tile on the ceiling.  We can also install a flush-mounted can light in the shower.  While we don't install glass doors for your shower, we can contract with a company to do it for you.
